How the process works

1. Submit your application

You'll provide details about who would live at the property, along with some basic information about each adult. No documents or payments are required at this stage.

2. Application review

The landlord or agent will review applications received. If your application is selected to proceed, you'll be invited to complete the next steps.

3. If invited to proceed

All adult applicants will be asked to provide identification and right to rent documentation. You will also be asked to pay a holding deposit to secure the property.

Referencing checks will also be carried out. These may take longer and are not required to secure the property, but must be satisfactorily completed before a tenancy can begin.

4. Securing the property

The property is secured only once all required identification and right to rent documentation has been provided and the holding deposit has been paid. Until then, the property remains available.

We recommend completing any required next steps promptly if your application is invited to proceed.

Payments required to move in

• Holding deposit: £311 — payable once you are invited to proceed. It is used to secure the property and is subject to the rules set out in the Tenant Fees Act.
• First month's rent: £1,350 — payable before the tenancy begins.
• Tenancy deposit: £1,557 — this will be protected in a government-approved tenancy deposit scheme.

No payments are required to submit an application.
